1. What The Storycomb is

The Storycomb is a short-video competition. Each round gives you one prompt, 24 hours to create a video, and 24 hours to vote. One video per verified email. Seven votes per voter. Every story is shown anonymously until the round closes.

2. Your submissions

You keep ownership of any video you upload. By submitting, you give The Storycomb permission to host, stream, and display that video inside the app for the round it was entered in and on any leaderboard or winner showcase that follows.

You confirm the video is your own work or that you have the right to use everything in it — footage, music, images, and any trademarks. The Storycomb is not responsible for content users upload.

After a round closes and your story is credited to your signature, The Storycomb may feature it — including winners — on our social channels. We will always credit your signature. If you don't want a particular story shared this way, email office@thestorycomb.com before the round closes and we'll do our best to honor it.

3. Your signature

When you upload your first story you choose a signature. It is permanent, cannot be changed, and cannot be reused by anyone else. It credits your stories after each round closes.

4. Voting

Each verified email gets seven votes per round. The least-watched stories are shown first. You can flag a story for review or skip it. We may remove stories that break these terms or are flagged repeatedly.

5. What's not allowed

  • Content you don't have the rights to.
  • Harassment, threats, or content that targets a real person.
  • Spam, repeated submissions, or trying to game the vote.
  • Revealing your identity during a round to ask for votes.

6. Reporting misuse

If you believe a story infringes your copyright or otherwise breaks these terms, email office@thestorycomb.com with the round name and a description of the issue. We'll review and remove content where appropriate.

7. Disclaimer

The Storycomb is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for content users upload, temporary outages, or anything beyond what local consumer law requires.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the project grows. The date above reflects the last change. Continuing to use The Storycomb means you accept the current version.
